Damn That Hurt!

Yep! that looks like me last night!I feel some better today, but still a few days away from riding, got the wheel fixed, put some new rim tap on, but still don't know why it flatted? I will be gun shy of fast down hills for a while, at least nothing got broken(i don't think)we'll see how it feels in a few days.....I will drive tomorrow, and if it makes you feel any better, i'll drive the long way! hahahhahahaah!!!joe PS>>>Who said i can't slide???So everybody keep your hopes up for next Saturday's ride, it will be a last minute call for me, but if i can't ride, i will sag for all who goes.we'll see how i feel later on in the week...later joe

...

Saturday ride 5/23

Ride tomorrow as usual, start Northridge at 6:40, or New Moorefield at 7:00. Probably go the North route to Pisgah/Rt 56 etc. It will be about 16 miles to Catawba, return via orig. route, perhaps 34 miles, or 42 to Northridge. Captain Joe may drive out due to sore ribs from Thursday's spill. As I understand it, an ubrupt decrease in air pressure in the front tire caused a sudden reduction in lateral stability, during hard cornering, resulting in unintentional contact with the pavement surface. In other words, Joe bit it and has a severe case of road rash. Luckily, nothing broke, either on Joe or the Hellafaster, except for the helmet light bracket.
I don't know about the rest of you guys, but Joe and I are much too old for such nonsense.
Hope to see you all tomorrow.
