TOSRV is over!!!
Well, at least it is for Terry, Caleb and Brian! I am heading down to Portsmouth at 8 am tomorrow morning to pick them up. Brian's bike is being transported north by The Boy Scouts; the other two bikes we'll put on the rack on the back of Brian's car. I think the guys did a great job considering all the wind they had to deal with today.
They are at Damon's!
Caleb messaged at 4:49 that he had just completed 110 miles, Brian messaged at 5:28 that they were at Damon's. They all seem to be in pretty rough shape, especially BK and Terry. :\ They still have to get their bags and get to the hotel. I'm sure they will appreciate a warm shower and a soft bed tonight!
NEWS FROM TOSRV
Been getting texts and updates from Caleb all day.. Most recently from the mural wall.... He says he is sore all over..Don't know about Terry & Brian,, although caleb said Brian is draggin,... They still have to get their bags, and get to the hotel yet,, i'm guessing another 45 mins.--- to an hour....... I'm sure they'll sleep well tonight... More updates to follow as they come in..LATER JBROADRACER
Wind/ 30 to 40 mph!
That was the toughtest wind i have ever road in!!! Mike ,Tracy and Me had a very fast ride to Catawba this morning, but coming back it was like 30 to 40 mph head winds, just awful,i could barely make 8-10 mph in the lowest gear i have,it felt real good to get home, i feel sorry for the guy's on TOSRV today,i know they are in for a rough day!!
