Just so you understand!

Initial Clingmans Dome Weather Forecast

At an elevation of 6,643 feet, the observation tower at Clingmans Dome stands on the park's highest peak.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will be quite warm, reaching a high of 90* F on Friday and 87* F on Saturday. Both days have a 20% chance of rain as well. According to the National Park Service, the top of Clingmans Dome can be 10-20 degrees cooler than where we start. Just thought you might want to know, so you can start preparing what to pack. See you in five days!

On a completely different note, someone at Bike Stop told us that if we make some flyers about our Saturday morning CCR rides, they will post it and we may be able to grow as a group. Does that sound good?

Go CCR!!!

"GATLINBURG FOOD ITEMS"

I went to kroger's today and purchased some items for our trip... These were all on sale ,plus some coupons so I could'nt turn it down. Got (3) cases of bottled water....... Trust me, your not gonna want to take their well water in your water bottles to drink, also got a variety of sodas to take.. Some "smores" material, and misc.. stuff..... I realize we're doing a grocery "run' when we get there, but these will all be non- perishable items.. just thought it might make it a little easier.... I'll be working on a "THINGS TO BRING LIST" this week and I think i'll just blog it so people don"t lose the list. So stay in touch with the blog, or call Tracy or Me for details... Those planning on the trip might find it beneficial to ride (THURS.) HILL repeats. you need to know what youll be up against. Then also on Sat. morn. usuall ride to catawba for some last min. information.. "BE SAFE RIDE SAFE"
