Course Profile of Pumphouse Rd to Catawba

Climbs will be steeper than they appear.

whole route distance

The whole route is 22.19 there and 6.3 coming back for a total of 28.49 jj

Here's the low down for the low down!

I just got back from doing the Saturday's course!! wow holy guackamoly! This thing is so hot!!From My house to pumphouse rd &Columbus ave is 7.49 miles, a good ride to warm the legs up,then from Columbus ave to Mcconkey is 10.12 miles of the fastest smoothest, let it burn blacktop you'll ever ride on! Its got to be the best TT course east of the Mississippi!! or at least east of the Mad River! Then Mcconkey rd is 4.58 miles to SiS'S(that will be my recovery time!)Plus, there are 2 get off's early for those who chose to shorten the route at Vernon Asbury/or rt54 witchever you like if you dont want the whole ride.this is gonna be so good, unless me and Terry and Herb get on the same team? the 60's group! i can see it all now!!Man this is a great route,i can't wait,If you know anybody who dosen't read the blog(heaven forbid)like Dan P. give them a call or tell them whats going on,10-4?Get some major rest boy's, your gonna need it!! JJ

Idea for Saturday

George has suggested an idea for Saturday's ride. The idea is that we get together at Joe's and draw names out of a hat and organize into teams of 3-4 riders, depending on who wants to be involved and how many riders show up. Then we do our race beginning on Old Columbus Road as planned. The first team to have 3 riders make it to breakfast wins. This will encourage some very high speed pace lines and teamwork. What do all of you think ?

Lots to read here, i know, but what im saying is you can mix your own stuff alot cheeper than you can buy it, and make it alot stronger for less $ to boot!

OH Yea Baby!!! Full Gas!!!!

Once we come off pumphouse rd,and turn left onto Columbus ave, it's kick the tires and lite the fires full gas to Catawba!! Just remember to leave a light on for me and order me a cup of coffee,ok? jj

Tuesday evening ride

Mike, Julie and I (and maybe my dad as well) will be riding the Ohio To Erie Trail tomorrow evening and we'd like some more company! Julie and I will be starting in London between 5:30-5:45. Mike will be leaving S. Charleston (by the caboose) about 30 minutes earlier to head our way, then we will all ride to Cedarville and back. From London to S. Charleston is 10 miles and from S. Charleston to Cedarville (route 72) is 11 miles. If this interests you, meet Mike between 4:45-5:00 in S. Charleston, or Julie and I at the time stated above, or meet the three of us in S. Charleston between 6:10-6:25. Happy riding!
