Up for grabs

Joe, Doug, anyone else? Want to take my place at TOSRV? My registration is yours at no cost. That's a savings of $47! You would be splitting the cost of the hotel room with Brian. I don't remember off the top of my head how much the room is. I believe I posted all the information about the room on here a few months ago.

See you Saturday morning Ladies!

Saturday Ride 4/9

Okay, it is starting to warm up, so it's time to start getting serious about accumulating some miles. 7:30 depart time for one more week. Our ride this week will feature the original route, Vernon-Asbury, Jones, Shorey, McConkey, with the Callahan power loop option. Then, as an added bonus, after breakfast there will be the option of the Christiansburg route. Yes, that's right, boys and girls, you could do the original route, return to New Moorefield and call it a day, or if you're feeling it, you can join us for an extra 30 miles to Christiansburg with a possible stop at Loretta's, if the timing works out. Total miles should be around 60, with all options, or under 25, without. Depart time temperatures should be in the 50's, with a high in the 70's. Rain is 50-50. The bar-mitts are coming off for sure, and perhaps can put the tights away. I will make that call at 6:30 when I go out to get the paper. It's time to get those miles in. TOSRV and Mount Mitchell are a month away. Time is short! I will swing by James' at 7:10, then to NM at 7:30.

Beach cruise

This is my Joe inspired picture. This morning I rode from Oxnard, California to Santa Barbara along the coast.  34 miles, most of which was beach side. And about 5 miles on a busy freeway with cars cruising by at 65-70 mph. Great ride.

Caleb-i study so hard!i just don't get it!!!

Baby Klay on the way

That's right, Julie and I are expecting a baby on November 23rd, 2011, which makes her six weeks and five days along (if you do the math, that means Valentine's Day was a special day). Obviously we do not know the gender of our little one, but we can tell you that we heard the heartbeat today for the first time and it was 130 bpm. The little guy/girl is also 9 mm long. We will try to scan the ultrasound done today, but I wanted all of you to know. Joe, you can help teach him or her to kick bike! To your left is an approximation of what the baby looks like right now inside of Julie. Ride hard!

The Beat Goes On!
