Rain? There ain't no stinking rain!
Perfect ride weather this morning, ladies and gentlemen. The predicted rain did not materialize. Starting temp 62, no wind, dry pavement, it's hard to imagine better conditions. We had 8 for breakfast. And, we have acquired something new for our breakfast stop. Stay tuned!

Saturday Ride 5/14
Once again, our Saturday ride is threatened by rain. At least it won't be too cold. Should be in the 60's at start time. I will figure on riding. When I go out to get the paper at 6:15, if it's not raining, I will ride from my house. James? If it's raining but not too bad, I will throw my bike in the CRV and drive to Joe's. If it's pouring, I will just drive to Joe's, then to Catawba. In deference to the predicted weather, we will opt for a simple route. Out Neer Road to Rt 54, then to Catawba. Hammerheads can do a quick hill repeat on Runyan Hill, or proceed north on Brigner, to Rt 56, then to Mechanicsburg-Catawba and in the back door. 7:00 AM start as usual.

Varsity Game @ Urbana

Sup gents from CCR, sorry I haven't been around recently, but I've had a scheduled baseball or softball game all this spring (well, when it hasn't rained). Tomorrow at 5 pm, I will be the base umpire for the varsity Indian Lake vs. Urbana game. Just wanted to toss the idea out to you guys in case you wanted something to watch/do. If you do, please come over between innings and holler at me. I hope to be back riding soon.
P.S. It's at the park on Boyce St. Just drive past the track and you will see the field on your left.
Riders pay their respects
Each team rode in front for 10k then the Leopard-Trek team along with Tyler Farrar (third from the right) crossed the finish line together.
Farrar has dropped out of the Giro. He was very close to Weylandt.
I watched todays stage and was a very emotional stage. No other sport can pay tribute like cycling can.

an excerpt from a friend on Facebook.
Mario L'ecoloup Hello Joe, thank you very much for this information.( I 'need more stability for my rearwheel to keep them straight.) Otherwise i 'am experimenting to found a solution to mount a Magura pneumatic brakeset on the rearwheel, for my next trip in the alps (1xfootbiker + 3x cyclists) Our goal is to defeat 3-mythical hills of the TOUR DE FRANCE to make an ascent-climb of 5500m+ in only one day: 1st: COL DE LA BONETTE=2862m (+2862m), 2nd: COL DE VARS=2108m +798m), 3rd: COL D'IZOARD=2600m(+1095m), GLACIER NOIR=1876m(+637m). The distance is "only" 230Km, but this hills are heavy to climb up for a footbike...
And i get winded climbing Runyan Hill?????
