Saturday Ride Report 6/11

We had an awesome ride/kick this morning. Only a few sprinkles to start. It was a warm, rain-free ride. We had 4 kickers and 6 road bikers. We should know that Runyan Hill, Kick relay route like the back of our hand by next week. That's right, only one week to go before the first annual Runyan Hill, Catawba footbike relay. Come on out and participate! We have a few spots available! Joe can provide you with a loaner if you need some practice. Each leg is only 4 3/4 miles. 2 person teams. First leg goes from new Moorefield to Rt 54 bridge, second leg takes rt 54 from bridge to Catawba, via Runyan Hill. Breakfast at Catawba. You can't beat it!

Its too close to call, we are right on the edge of the rain,and it is passing,then a window opens,i'll be ready to kick @ 7am and maybe make it a driveway call?hopefully we can kick,any comments?

It's 3:30 am and the thunder woke me up,radar looks like a big storm coming in the next hour or so, projected forcast looks clear at 7 am, so i will check it at 6:30 and post something then, but as of right now it looks good for kicking/riding,i go back to bed now!

Don't be afraid, they wont hurt you, but they might smoke you up a bit,thats right Big foot Bob and Grayhound Gary will be in our relay next Saturday,Just because they are the two fastest kickers east of the mississippi,dosen't mean they can beat us! yea, right, let's do it,full Gas! sign up now!

My First Scooter

This is how I remember my first scooter to look like. I got it for Christmas probably about 1955. Stamped steel wheels, solid rubber tires, and a stamped steel heel brake which I recall bent almost immediately. Check out the swing, kick stand on the rear wheel.
