A great time was had by all on Saturday

It is said that there is no greater gift than friendship (unless you’re getting one of James’s memory books).

This past Saturday Dec 20th, 2008 our cycling group, The Clark County Riders, got together for breakfast after our 17+ mile ride, as we usually do most Saturday mornings, but with a slightly different twist. On this particular Saturday before Christmas, we were joined by our families (none cycling, but supportive members) to share in the coveted pancake eating and cycling conversation that our group is so good at. A good time was had by all – much thanks to James for thinking of the newlywed format trivia game that worked its magic over the crowd. Great idea James! I think the girls really liked it. I even overheard talk of the girls riding with the guys – WOW! Wouldn’t that be something for the memory book!

Speaking of the Memory book, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude and thanks for the books that were presented by James at the breakfast. They were awesome! Words can’t describe how I feel about the images my book contains. James, the photography and attention to detail was truly amazing. I can only say that if my house was burning down, and only had time to grab a couple of things, the book and my bike would be two of them (of course my family would be right with me helping me carry my bike).
Caleb, thanks for the well crafted slideshow, I loved the energy and you made the images come to life (I relived the pain of everyone on those hills trying to catch you).
Kathy, thanks for your patients, I understand James now has some cleaning up to do post project.

Saturdays ride was the best ever on a bike I can remember, despite the bone chilling cold and biting head winds (all day). Seems like when you’re with friends doing what you love, you don’t mind some of the minor discomforts.

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas from my family to yours.
Happy Riding and remember; those who show are those who go!

Tracy
