Brian, as I have said before from August 1 to October 31 I went from 250 to 218 pounds. My method was lots of riding and I cut out red meat (I now eat alot of beans to replace the meat) and junk food (give yourself a day a week to eat what you want). I ate smaller meals but ate more often. Stay away from sugar, it only makes you more hungry. Protein food like peanuts and cheese will help stop the hunger. These are just a few things I follow.
If my lazy but can do it so can you.
P.S. The beans may help with your speed if you know what I mean. :)
