Van Dessel is putting the famous Country Road Bob out to pasture and replacing it with the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot The Whiskey Tango Foxtrot features a steel frame with retro styled curved seatstays that extend all the way to the head tube. The frame is designed with disc brakes to allow the use of 700c or 29" wheels and tires depending on the riders intended use. Because the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot keeps the same geometry as the beloved Country Road Bob, it can be configured with either a flat or drop bar. An eccentric bottom bracket allows for the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot to be setup as single speed or multi-speed bike.

That was great, today we had 14 riders/kickers go on the ride, 9 road bikes and 5 footbikes, and today we also broke new ground with our first Lady! Julie did a footbike part of the way,then switched over to my road bike the rest of the way, She did great and i hope her and Brian both come back and ride again,James, put some bear greese on your calf and rub it in while your watching the game today, it will work itself out!!!jj

I am doing the kick-bike thing,but I'd still like you to come by the house at the usual time of 6:40. i.e (terry,tracy,brian,mike) bk is supposed to ride and I told him he could ride to joe's with you guy's,,,,can't wait till morning....Supposed to be low to mid 40's tonight,so don't overdress.

CJ Brown Overlook(damn)

Man, do we live in a cool area or what, they just got done paving the damn hill the parking lots across the entire damn also from the top down the bike path to the bottom,if you can't get a smiley face over there on rollarblades it's your fault! i will be doing that tomorrow after the bike ride and also Sunday afternoon some time/try pulling that hill on a pair of skates/or you can just come over and watch the old guy do it! hahahahhah!!! jj

Saturday Ride 11/14

Looks like it's going to be a wonderful day for a ride. Be there and check off rite of passage No. 36, seeing a sunrise from the saddle. Start at JJ's at 7:00, standard route. The hammers can turn right on McConkey and take the Callahan power loop. Joe has a few footbike spots if anyone's interested. Think I'll stick to pedals for now. See you all there.

Sunday,Nov 15th..going to CJ in the afternoon for some pole bounding,yea i know, whats that??? well, its using hikeing poles/up hill sprinting/jogging/walking over a 2 mile course with gravel/cement drain runs/some mud/lots of up hill stuff/usually takes 1 hour per lap/i have some extra poles to loan if you need them..let me know if you want some of this...jj

OK my little sheepies,The Catawba 780(Spring Race) is only 5 or 6 months down the road?? you might as well get your feet wet now!you know you want to try it! come on, Saturday is gonna be a good day to kick/ride,we got three so far, we can do 3 more,nice easy pace,all the suckun air you want,you'ld love it!! call me,the pancakes taste better when you earn them! hahahah!!!!!

Man, that was a great flick, if you missed it and your a bike rider, you missed a good one, very seldom can i set two hours in a movie and not get bored, but this one was great and entertained me the whole time,I would love to do that race, maybe in the next life!Im just glad i got the chance to see it! jj

Race Across the Sky

Here's the skinny. Anyone who wants to go, meet at my office, 1533 Moorefield Road, at 5:30. We will eat at the Buckeye Hall of Fame Cafe, then go over to the Lennox for the movie.
