Miles...what miles

There is no way I will get the yellow hat for January. Am running and hitting the weights. I did not realize how weak my ab muscles are. Was using my back and not my abs for sit-ups. Wife had to show me exercises to do to work my abs. She has been studing to be a personal trainer so I get free sessions. She kicked my butt today. Did not realize how strong she is.

Ran 1.5 miles at 5.7 mph on a treadmill with an average heart rate of 143 bpm.  (July '09 I could barely run 300 feet)

January and February will be dedicated to weight training and running with some riding. March I will get the yellow hat. Oh yeah. I will be a completely different rider than what you are used to. No more tow ropes.

P.S. Thursday evening I am off of work and the weather looks like it might be a good night for riding. Maybe to Crables if anyone is interested.

  1. Mike, heres a buy(http://columbus.craigslist.org/bik/1546881876.html) you get a ride like this and put some new hoof covers on,(studed tires)the right ones ofcourse and you got a winter ride for on/and off road all winter! jj

  2. Sounds good mike. I will have to get your core workout. Smart way to go, it all starts with core. I saw the mtn bike ad. Something to think about.
