Rode with a local group today. 33.6 miles. Great ride but it wasn't CCR! I might be in Dayton in a couple weeks and hope to ride so if anyone has an extra bike I could use that would be great, or I could kick.
Happy miles!

Todays ride post
70 Mitchell miles today in strong winds, a real butt kicker. I figure i did the equivalent of 25 miles at 6-8% grade, my average speed was 14mph into the wind. It was great to take advantage of such a windy day Mt. Mitchell is gona HURT so good. Cheers!
Welcome To My Fitness Center!
Went in as Sharp Cheddar and came back as hot cream cheese! A major butt kicker, wind 10-25mph in your face,it felt soooo goood to be on the Footbike again even if i had to fight for 4-5mph on the hills in the wind,it was great there were 5 of us and we were going hard this AM and it was worth every heart beat! What a great kick/ride!!

Saturday Ride 2/19
Most of the snow has melted, so we should be looking at a rare riding day for February. Should be 30 degrees to start so there may be a few slick spots. Today would have been awesome. Nice enough that I rode my single speed to work. We will be looking at the usual 7:30 muster at Joes, and probably ride the original route. Hammerheads can take the Callahan power loop. I will swing by James' at 7:10. I can taste those pancakes, now. Hope to see some "cherry blossoms".

"SURGERY DATE SET"
Went to the Doctor yesterday for a (Q&A) session, and came out with a APRIL 11, date for "DaVinci" robotic surgery.. Thats a Monday which I was hoping for, thinking maybe a Sat. ride or at least a kickbike ride...But to the Doctor's dismay, she said absolutly not for at least 4 weeks...."BUMMER",that I could do major damage if I even tried.. Anyway, scheduled for a 7:30 procedure,approx.3-4 hr time, walking halls that evening(Docs.)orders, possably home next day,or no later than Wends. DaVinci is "cutting edge" technology with minimal bleeding,complications,ect....I'm relieved to have a date set,and extremly comfortable with my Doctor, and her experience of over 500 surgeries of this type..
Looking forward to Sat"s ride...See ya then!!!!!

Lolita and Me
Took Lolita out for a test ride. I enjoyed it as a TT but it really shines as a road bike. Not sure about the weight but I am thinking about 17 to 17.5 lbs. Light, nimble and buttery smooth ride. Hoping for a longer ride tomorrow.
